Overview of JAC

JAC is rooted in the 1940s panto–quadra lineage, yet its updated scale and softened geometry make it unmistakably modern. The frame uses a square upper line that settles naturally beneath the brow, paired with a rounded lower contour that feels gentle and approachable on the face. The combination creates a thoughtful, relaxed silhouette that suits a broad range of wearers

Originally designed for low bridges and high brows, JAC sits especially well on slimmer or longer faces. The curved lower edge provides depth without heaviness, while the top line adds structure, which makes the frame an excellent option for higher prescriptions. JAC shares a design relationship with MIM, though it reads as the more masculine sibling, thanks to the subtle downward tip of the brow line that echoes a natural masculine brow.

Fine:

Elegant and measured. The thinner rim highlights the contrast between the square upper line and soft rounded base. This version feels intellectual, composed and subtle, perfect for everyday wear and professional environments.

Heavy:

Graphic and sculptural. The increased rim thickness adds weight to the brow and emphasises the panto–quadra profile. In deeper colours this version feels classic and assertive, while in translucent tones it becomes more artistic and modern.

Materials, Colours & Craftsmanship

JAC is crafted from premium Italian cellulose acetate selected for its clarity, colour depth and ability to hold both precise edges and soft curves. Every frame is hand cut, shaped and polished in our London workshop. The upper edge is sharpened with careful file work, while the lower contour is rounded and refined by hand to achieve a considered, cohesive expression.

All of our frames use premium German hardware, high precision hinges chosen for their durability, smooth action and long term reliability.

JAC is available in a versatile palette that includes deep tortoises, rich browns, translucent ambers and modern neutrals. In darker colours the frame feels tailored and classic. In lighter colours it becomes more relaxed and contemporary.
